Do you have a reliable estimate that is not a trade journal or oil industry publication.....?

Industry sources ARE the reliable sources of information. Its where the DOE gets its information.

One of China's government oil companies just paid $1B for a third interest in Chesapeake's Eagle Ford properties. The thing about Bakken's production is its doubling roughly annually. No, I'm not predicting we're going to be free of imports .... just that this drilling will produce results .... that will at least partially offset the Democrats work hampering US domestic production. Most US oil drilling is now being done on private land where its harder for the feds to shut it down.

The Democratic no-drill energy plan is to produce as little as possible domestically and enrich Saudi Arabia.
