Intersting blurb on page 23 of current issue (11/10/97)of Aviation Week & Space Technology.

Talks about Borealis Cool Chips, how they work and their possible applications in the aviation industry. Quoting the last couple of sentences: "The plan is to mass produce the small, silent and highly reliable chips. Modular arrays could be integrated into aircraft cabin ceilings and sideliners, replacing cumbersome and heavy conventional air conditioning packs."

First I've heard of this company and was somewhat surprised to find this thread. Has whetted my appetite for more info.
