Richard, (& Paul)

Spent the evening on VIP. I'm not interested but I've built a file and it's worth a look each quarter.

Creative bookkeeping, unaudited reports, basically flat revs over last 3 Qs in spite of 30% increase in subscriber base, consistent gross margin with major variations in net. Administrative and sales expenses have wide variations unrelated to subscriber growth, revs, or any other factor except earnings. I question the accuracy of the reports. They are vague and more hype than reliable information.

IMO -The next Q EPS for VIP will be flat to lower than a year ago.
This weekend I will be reviewing INVN. Premier company in explosives detection equipment for airports and other areas subject to terrorism. Been showing losses but now profitable with backorders exceeding last 9 months sales by 20%. Has fallen from 16 to 8.5 for no apparent reason. Please take a look at it if you have time.

I quit worrying about the price of Deswell. Every other company I look at falls way short in comparison and I'm having a hard time not putting every investment dollar in it at the current prices. For that matter, I almost have. My only other holding of any size is JWC. They will have a very big 4Q. They just picked up $4.2M cash in their AGRO acquisition and are putting it in this market.

For what it's worth,
Ron
Paul, You paid me a far bigger compliment than I've earned. It's an undeserved honor to be included on a list with Richard, Mike, & David. I just glad you all (& Paul S.) tolerate my lack of knowledge.
