Anybody care to speculate about what's behind the HR announcement today?

From Business Wire:

"Wind River Systems Inc. today announced the appointment of Curtis B. Schacker as Vice President of Marketing ... Schacker replaces David Larrimore, who had been Vice President of Marketing with Wind River for the past two and a half years. Larrimore has been offered a key Vice President position with the company, which he is carefully considering."

Larrimore was one of the company's leading spokesmen. Looks like this isn't good news for him, but doesn't it seem odd that he's being offered another position within the company? Does this mean Abelmann hasn't been happy with the company's marketing effort?
