Apple should have sold a hell of a lot more than 500,000 as Apple hardly moved any iPads in Jan/Feb while everyone was waiting for iPad2 and Honeycomb tablets and their bloated inventory had at least 3 million iPads sitting in shelves. So with estimates of 6.5 million iPads this quarter they have 3.5 million more to sell (or stuff in the channel) in the last 20 days (Mar 11-Mar 31) or else they would miss those projections. Now let's assume they sold 500,000 at launce weekend.. that leaves 3 million to sell from Mar 14-Mar 31 or in 17 days... that's 177,000 each and every day for the next 17 days... good luck with that... <VBG>
