Re: Exactly what type of device is needed to transfer digital pictures stored with flash memory to a PC and how much does this device cost?

If your PC has a PCMCIA interface (like in my notebook), it's easy. You just plug the CF into the PCMCIA slot of your PC and read the CF like reading a floppy or hard drive. If your PC doesn't have a PCMCIA interface, then you could transfer the data from the camera to the PC via the serial port which will take a long time. I bet that when digital camera becomes popular, some third party companies will make a PCMCIA interface card for PCs that will sell for about $20.

If HP incorporates the Clik into the printer, will that increase the cost of the printer by $200? I like the idea of the external Clik and companies just have to design an interface to plug in the external Clik into their device (PC or printer or camera), SCSI or whatever. You can share the same Clik with multiple devices.
