The Volt has a 300 mile range...gas powers a generator and you keep going when the house electric is gone...science and evolution inevitably kills off dinosaurs like you...

I cannot THINK of a concept that looks more like a dinosaur than the Volt. A total kludge from the word go.

Instead of focusing on the problem (getting more miles out of the batteries, pushing the technology as far as possible) GM takes off on this tangent of trying to provide a gasoline-powered generator, in effect.

It suffers from the VERY SAME problem as a hybrid, which is, it only saves fuel on short trips. If you're doing short trips, why not have a completely electric vehicle? It is just a half-assed attempt. And it will fail in the end. And it will require government subsidy until it does.

And you called someone else a dinosaur.
