There was a tragic story in the Toronto Star this week... 1978 downhiller 21 years old paralyzed from neck down, lost speech.. parents now in their 80s.. all life though has risk.. the market has risk.. you do things to mitigate risk.. My 11 year old is a gifted skier and a racer.. all equipment is top notch.. but no guarantees.. he took a tumble in one race (only slalom thankfully) and head planted.. another race he blocked a pole with his face :o( I guess he could sit at home and play Call of Duty :O) Always mitigate risk as much as possible.. then LIVE.. man's got to know his limitations .. Harry Callahan :O) My kid has medals.. but it's the love of skiing, hockey, martial arts etc that drives him.. medals.. nice but youe example seals that deal.. oh he does well in school too :O)
