Haim,

I'm still lacking an understanding of what authority the US possesses in overthrowing Qaddafi?

IF we can obtain that authority from the UNSC, I'll be more than willing to see the US participate in a multi-national intervention to implement democratic reforms and restructure/rebuild the country.

But if we overthrow Qaddafi without authority under international law, where will we draw the line in dealing with other brutal dictators/tyrants?

Should we overthrow Kim Jong Il too?

Are we willing to get involved in Saudi Arabia if an uprising begins there (risking the wrath of a 1 billion+ muslims in the process)??

Slippery slopes are called that for a reason..

And the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
