Glenn,
thanks for the informative post. Just a couple of contentions. You write: "Unless it can fit
inside a laptop (like a Duracell "DR36" or Motorola "ER36" - - - now adopted by over 40 OEMs),
it is (from my perspective) also dead in the water. Simply stated, it's "out of range". What
people want and need is something that is smaller, better, faster, cheaper. What you describe is
not. It's marginally better, maybe, but not enough to get excited about. Maybe at $49, but not
much more (and maybe much less)."
Let's face it. This is just your opinion. I think it is pretty clear that the prototype, even in its current form is far better (8-10 hours vs 2-3) than any lithium ion on the market today. Even at a larger size and weight there will be a market for it. This is just my opinion.
You also write:
"Bottom line: I think AER is back to its old habit of introducing confusing product information
in an attempt to get the stock price up so Lindseth and Bass can bail out once and for all."
It could be that AER is introducing confusing product information, but that's why this board is so great. We can and should cut through the shit and try to understand what's really going on. But, it doesn't make sense to me at all that Bass would be looking to sell once and for all just three months after placing a major cash infusion into the company. This especially doesn't make sense given that there has been very little change(it seems) in the company since then. Now I would never argue that it is a good investment just because a billionaire put money into it. All I'm saying is that it doesn't seem logical that the billionaire would flip his investment so quickly, especially when very few of the facts have changed(seemingly).
Thanks for the info on lithium ion. Sounds interesting but a long way off. AERN is probably a lot closer to a better solution(but maybe not the best) than those guys.
Good luck to all.
