At the time I read your reply last week, I wondered why you were feeling bearish, as both gold and silver were heading for the skies.
Again and again, I tried to make sense of your lunch and dinner comments, and they didn't make sense to me, at the time.
And you went on to state, rather ominously
"I am trying to sense the perturbation in the force.
Very quiet. Too quiet."
In retrospect, your 'psychic' powers seem to at least match all the other powers you possess!
I am wondering what your deepest thoughts are now, as many of the old trends seem to be broken, all at the same time:
- all precious metals are falling
- stock markets are all going down
- commodities of every shape and kind are going downhill
- there is only a sense of gloom and doom everywhere, as everyone I read about or talk with is saying they are reducing/cutting spending, not trusting anything, and yes, watching out for "The Real Financial Collapse of 2001", etc
- there even seems to be a serious likelihood of an unimaginable, nature-imposed human catastrophe that hasn't happened in some 100 years.
USD and USTs seem to be the only game in town right now.
Are you still in favour of your pre Mar 11th portfolio profile, or are you pondering some serious alterations now?
(I think Mr. Gross must be feeling quite sorry for himself now).
It is strange, I even received a personalised, handwritten note in my postbox from a stranger in town (for the first time in my life) asking if I would consider discussing with a lady the benefits God/Christ could bring to my life....and beyond! |
