It's time for this thread to move into the next phase of life - the one that concentrates on the company's fundamentals and potential for success and/or failure.
Jodi, those of us that are here should applaud you for your efforts in bringing attention to this company, even though the way you have gone about it has been less than professional.
At this point, judging from your posts for other companies and hyping them, your credibility is a bit shot from the standpoint of being a reliable source of information. You have done your job in bringing the attention you needed for this stock, and I happen to agree with you that the potential for ACCY is enormous.
However, anyone doing their DD across the board, like me, will come up with some serious questions about the intentions of someone like you. A word of advice: unless you are a licensed representative, I suggest you tone down your recommendations to buy and/or sell at certain prices. This can get you in a lot of trouble, as you have posted these thoughts on countless boards.
As an example, if I'm a novice investor and bought this stock because "Jodi Segal-Lankry" recommended it to me on the AOL boards, and I subsequently lost money and filed a complaint with the NASD, then you would be in violation of securities regs. Be careful what you say is all I am asking.
As for ACCY, the company has the potential to make a big hit. At this point, it is purely speculation, as numerous roadblocks will present themselves between now and March. Sponsors, knowing the tournament MUST happen to appease shareholders, will now squeeze what they can out of ACCY. Same for TV rights. Business is business, and every last dollar you can squeeze in negotiations is gold. ACCY holds no cards in these negotiations, unless the players are lined up.
That's the next question: the next logical step in the sequence of events is to get the players lined up. TV locks up programming months in advance, and with the FINAL FOUR at about the same time as this tournament, I'll guess that ESPN is all but locked up by now. TV will not provide programming unless it is assured of top-flite players, at least during this time of year. Not only is the Final Four happening, but it's the start of baseball season and the final run for the NBA playoffs. The plate may be full, so to speak.
My point is this: we've made it past the first release stating that a tournament will take place at a specified course on a specified date. Now let's begin to look at the corporate side: will ACCY be able to pull the tourney off? Will they be able to turn a profit? Where are revenues derived from? How are players to be compensated? What is the TV deal? Who is the name sponsor?
Let's get past the infancy of hyping a stock and move on to the meat and potatoes.
Sorry to be so long-winded, but felt it had to be said. This board was becoming a personal vendetta scene, and not one that concentrates on the merits of the company.
As stated in previous posts, I believe this company is worth a shot. It is highly risky, but I will continue to accumulate at prices less that .30. In my opinion, the only asset the company has at this point is Dave Marr III, but that's worth a shot in my book.
Best of luck to all. |
