Hmmm....I've gotten the distinct impression recently that the financial press is being manipulated (or is trying to manipulate us). I'd noted oddoties in the way things are reported, but what forced this to conciousness recently was that WSJ online said that only the tech stocks were being impacted by the Asian crisis and were going down. This was a couple of days ago when the Dow dropped 157 points. Actually, most stocks were down somewhat. They're not exactly lying, but they're shading the truth.
