I like the fact PPH decided to close the HIP deal with more bank borrowings, instead of a combo of borrowings and equity. Now the EPS won't be permanently diluted.

And until those old debentures are converted (at $27 per share), ROE looks like it will expand substantially.

My mother worked for PHP in one of their Naval health clinics, and according to her supervisor who spent time at HQ, they run a lean operation. One thing surprises me: Their new chairman gets $62,500 compensation per quarter! Yikes! On the other hand, he seems to have a tremendous amount of experience in the healthcare/acquisition field.

I like PPH at $10-15. Expect it to hit $25 by end of 1998.
