Camtasia is a little pricey, but will get my daughter to buy it with her student discount based on your recommendation. I've looked at it before. I'll also get "Total Video Converter" and you mentioned "Audacity" at sourceforge which can be downloaded for free which I will do. I neglected to mention I use "Virtualdub" which is also free from sourceforge. I have an interest in free software and will compile a freebie list I like at some point. Everyone should have "Moffsoft FreeCalc" that has a virtual tape on the side. The program is completely free and great. moffsoft.com * * *
