BB has used the PE ratio of 20-22 as an indicator that the market as a whole is bumping into a problem with value. That is to say, who would invest in a company that is producing earns of only 5%?

Well, that certainly holds true for the market as a whole, but give me a stock that has incredible upward earnings potential, and I'll gladly accept the high PE ratio. For example, Intel is almost doubling its earnings every year. That means the stock should be increasing in value 8% per month. Yet it is down 25% from its former high.

BB has always called Intel a "trading stock". I assume that means you buy low and sell high. It will be interesting to see how he sees the value of Intel this weekend. He sold in the mid-90's...will he buy in the mid-70's?

BTW, does BB read this thread? If you do, Bob, I think many of us would pay to read a transcript of your program, if it were made available. The Nightly Business Report has a transcript archive (www.nightlybusiness.com). Weekends are busy times for most of us..and football is getting in the way of your trusted advice.
