BYDDF - I never understood why Buffett bought BYD. His and Charlie's explanations seemed very far removed from "Buffettology" traditions. Seemed like they were just sold a dog and pony show like a couple of newbs. It seemed like a bet on jockey and not on the horse. And for a while it seemed like they struck the motherlode, but perhaps, like Buffett says "when lousy business meets a great manager it's the reputation of the business that remains intact".

Not that my performance in China is better than Buffett's. I guess he made a ton on PTR and he's still in green, but much less so with BYD.
