Basketball is a contact sport. That's actually a cliché. Therefore, a foul is whatever contact a given official allows in a given game. Early in the second the fouls were 7-1 being called on UConn. This really screwed up their Big East honed physical pressure defense and kept Cinci in the game. Then the refs evened it out and that kid from Cinci fouled out with almost seven minutes left in the game.

After seeing the Butler-Pitt replays countless times, I do think there was clear contact. But having not seen the entire game I don't know if that level of contact had been called throughout the contest. Was it?
