James: They are totally different trades:

Fundamental analysis is targeted towards determining if the current
price is below the fundamental value of the stock. If so the stock may be appropriate as a LONG TERM INVESTMENT if you can purchase it below the fundamental value.

Technical analysis is targeted towards determining the trend of the price of a stock in the very short term. If so it may be appropriate for a SHORT TERM TRADE if you can get in on the early part of the trend.
