All I get where I live is either satellite or land line. Use Direct TV, $85/month, and a more or less local dial-up ISP for $36/month.
Dropped the newspaper years ago. Too much clutter for too little info.
Can get cell phone service, but hope to be the last person in the country without one. Don't want to be a rat on an electronic leash. Verizon is $26/mo, and I use Working Assetsd for long distance.

I'm solar; electricity costs me $4.25/ month to be on the grid. If I produce more in a year than I use, I get paid 8 cents/KWH. March ain't doing good, but it didn't rain in Feb, and I used 3 KWH for the entire month...net.
