but sometimes we took it a bit further

We used to hang the "enemies" and take them down before they passed out. We also learned how to squeeze each other's chests to make the person pass out temporarily. The "fun" part was when you woke up, you didn't know where you were. Probably the most dangerous were the tunnels we dug to hide in. They could have collapsed with someone inside if another person walked on top.

Lots of vacant lots and open spaces to play in with no adult supervision.
