You are such a Darling, Naomi....and when I looked at the time you posted your lovely note, I see what you mean timewise.

I've never thought about taking my own life either...the only thing I thought of along those lines is that when I was young for a year or so (maybe about 9 or 10) I was SURE that I was adopted because Mom was so tough on me....looking back on those years, she probably was because I was the oldest of a flock of kids, Dad was traveling quite a bit with his job, and she had so much to do....Guess I had been reading too much about Cinderella, and also all the Grimm's Fairy Tales about then <ggg>...

All our parents and grandparents who lived through WWI, the Great Depression and WWI, then the Korean War, etc....really had it so much tougher than we do today. No appliances that made life easier, certainly no TV (did have radios), no dishwashers or electric washers and dryers, etc.... And most of them didn't complain much at all. Just did their job.

Sometimes I think that young people, and even older folks who whine and complain all the time about something should go back in a time machine to find out how much easier it really is today...

I wonder today how many people in the Western World took the time to just go outside and look and find the Super Moon, for instance. It was just totally beautiful. There is much too much to do and see and enjoy to complain about every little thing that bothers us. (Side bar Note: Other than Politics of course....<gg>)

Watching the Grandma and her grandson in Japan live 9 days in absolutely frightening and awful conditions just proves to all of us that usually whatever it is that is bothering us, isn't a big deal....the 'guy next door' always has something worse to deal with.

I've had such a good time today, doing not much of anything concrete. Lots of family research, and mucho gathering of data for a big report I've got to do for our State and National Organization, writing some emails and a couple of letters, some cleaning of some items in the house, and all the etc's of daily life...

Thanks for sharing your stories about your family...and really about yourself. I remember not too many months ago that you'd been so ill that a big day for you was watching TV or writing on your Laptop while you were recovering....

It takes some living to finally realize that each one of us really only have one day at a time....We can do all the planning ahead (I'm big on that) but in reality, we just have this very second to enjoy....and hopefully, more after that.
