Somehow in this country we lost the skill of having meaningful political debates with people with whom we disagree. Instead, in polite society people simply do not talk politics at all; it's considered to be in poor taste. The problem is - these days this should be the only thing we should be all talking about. But - nooo.

I don't think it is a healthy situation to have two camps, about 40% of the population each, who simply don't talk to each other. I know full well it's hard, almost impossible... but it probably should be tried. If for no other reason, maybe for the benefit of some innocent bystander who may become interested and may learn something.
