<< if only gold could reflect this reality. >> Claude, every day brings new evidence that the era of gold as a store of value is passing. Even during the recent global turmoil, world markets hedged with paper, not with metals. Asia is entering into a state of overcapacity and recession, which means years of deflation ahead (last week's Barron's). I agree that the current gold demand/supply imbalance will be corrected eventually by the market, but the long run is still pobabably down.

IPM is a great mining company of precious metals and will make plenty of money as a low cost producer in spite of the price of gold, not because of it.

Regards,

Walt
