re Conflict minerals - yes it is a burden but not a large one really. I have been involved somewhat on the fringes of this issue at work. Most domestic suppliers need to meet the mandate so the smaller companies that buy from them just need to get the assurance in writing. It's not that big of a deal.

The bigger deal is that it shuts of some supplies for some minerals from some countries like Kongo which seems to push up prices further. I suspect that the Chinese are going to buy the minerals from these countries and use them (after all raw materials are fungible) and they make their way to the US consumer one way of the other.
