Peter: Afraid not. I have a little bit in RYURX, it's OK but BEARX seems to have the edge. I'm having good luck shorting TROW instead of SPY, most of their business is international and tech mutual funds and their valuation is obscenely high, so you might try that if they have an "up" day. You can call BEARX 1-800 number (on their web page) they can take wired money. I bought it through Schwab, there's a few brokerages that handle it. I think Quick and Reilly can get it.
Isn't it time you moved out of e-trade anyway? Check out suretrade, it's backed by quick and reilly...I wrote to them, they can handle short sales and you don't have to close out your positions to move your account.
