DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 1997--PC ServiceSource (NASDAQ:PCSS)
announced that the PC industry's first real-time Internet ordering
system, PC PARTS NET, processed record-breaking sales of over $725,000
in the month of October, continuing the trend of 10-15% month-to-month
growth. PC PARTS NET is an integral piece of PC SERVICE NET, the
industry's only real-time Internet network of applications for spare
parts order entry and information retrieval, and complete warranty
transaction processing and tracking.

Unlike many other online ordering systems that simply send e-mail
notification for information retrieval, PC PARTS NET offers the benefit
of real-time inventory status, order entry and pricing. The system
allows customers to check inventory and pricing, place orders with
actual part commitment, run reports (i.e. account status, invoice
reprints and shipping history), and receive real-time parts and tracking
data from their desktop 24 hours per day.

"We are very pleased with the steady growth of PC PARTS NET since its
initial launch last fall," commented Paul Klotz, Vice President of
Marketing for PC ServiceSource. "PC PARTS NET has been extremely
well-received and the customer demand for the application is the most
meaningful endorsement of the value and functionality of the system. The
true measure of success of an online order-entry system is the revenue
that it generates. Everything else is just smoke and mirrors."

PC PARTS NET continues to be a vital element in the PC ServiceSource
total service logistics solutions. The value generated by the process
efficiencies gained through the use of this powerful technology is
passed along to customers in the form of a 2% discount on all Internet
orders. International customers, in particular, are taking advantage of
this service with international orders accounting for 25.3% of the
revenue gained from all Internet orders since PC PARTS NET was
implemented in August 1996.

The system's features are easily accessed through navigation buttons on
the screen: -- Search and Order: Customers can search for parts, check
inventory, and place and order or save the information in "quote" form
for later access. -- Quotes: Provides quote retrieval for incomplete
orders saved in an earlier session. -- Reports: Allows the user to
generate a number of reports about their account, purchasing and
shipping history. -- Order Status: Provides the status of an existing
order, and even furnishes links to the appropriate carrier, so the
customer can track the shipment. -- Account Status: Provides information
on open and past invoices and allows the customer to print out copies of
invoices. -- Help: Online help provides tips on using PC PARTS NET. --
Policies: Provides information on the terms and conditions of doing
business with PC ServiceSource.

Mr. Klotz continued, "As impressive as the system is today, we are
continually improving it through a customer-driven development process.
We have scheduled implementation of a new technology platform for first
quarter 1998 that will vault this application to the next level of
excellence. We will be implementing a new technology platform in the
near future that will further enhance the performance of the industry's
most superior online order-entry system."

PC ServiceSource (NASDAQ:PCSS) supports a customer base of over 20,000
service providers, providing services for more than 30 major computer
manufacturers, and is widely recognized as the largest supplier of
service logistics to the PC industry. Cyclix Engineering, the Company's
remanufacturing subsidiary, offers a range of services which
strategically complements the distribution-oriented services logistics
offerings of PC ServiceSource. General and financial data is located on
the Internet at pcservice.com .
