OT - something i've been thinking about lately:

Note that the US promotes free trade, but only of goods and services, not of labor. Immigration restrictions produce huge economic imbalances. Imagine how different things would be if labor could be traded as freely as goods. Not saying better, necessarily, just different.

Just something to ponder - immigration control is a huge trade barrier.
