OT? Yeah, I agree.

If you want to build/remodel a house cheaply in US, you hire immigrant contractors. Even legal immigrants are usually cheaper by 20%-40%. Of course, you have to know how to check their work quality - some are great, some are lousy. But then you also should check quality of non-immigrant contractors too. ;)

BTW, the medical costs are also very high compared to goods because a lot of it is local.

Julius should say something if we are starting to hog his thread with of-topic discussion.
