<There are but TWO Commandments..> The old "10" are clearly meaningless without those, didn't he even say something like they depend on his great commandments? He was "context", the old way and old commandments were "content"... or "literal". Probably why he didn't write stuff down, too easily twisted by lawyers. -ggg- Hard to believe there are millions who take these things, especially the OT literally. Just turn on any TV preacher... thumping away reading the OT tea leaves. <Actually we don't know the Bible was preceded by an oral tradition or that it was edited. > We do know Jesus taught by oral tradition of course... further we also know the whole thing has been edited. What we DONT know is HOW MANY TIMES it's been edited, and for what purpose... although keeping the great commandment in mind, one can probably guess where some of the falsity is. The bible probably the longest written game of "telephone" ever played AND probably with the most players. :) The printing press probably truncated the fun and games one would think. DAK
