Yes, Syria is actually an open enemy of the US. Enemies of the US get assured safety. It's called the Obama Doctrine.

You see, Hillary is also an incompetent boob of a diplomat, to make an announcement like this while demonstrations are going on in Syria. She only looks competent by comparison to the others.
