Christian prophets warning California about to get massive quake
March 22, 2011 By God Discussion
The Christian dominionists, who call themselves prophets and prayer warriors, have been warning anyone who will listen to them that California is going to experience a massive earthquake.
They say it's the gays and atheists who are to blame for the impending destruction.
In early January 2011, "apostles" Mike and Cindy Jacobs and fellow apostle and "prophet" Chuck Pierce, issued a "prayer alert," saying that California may experience a devastating earthquake because their prayer warriors were seeing Pt. Conception and a figure 8 in their dreams. The reason? If California's Prop 8 which bans marriage equality is deemed unconstitutional, God will inflict His wrath on the state.
Right Wing Watch reports that Rick Joyner of Morningstar Ministries, who practices the same type of dominionist theology as the Jacobs and Pierce, has jumped on the apocalyptic bandwagon, first declaring that "the demonic principalities responsible for Nazism in Germany were going to attempt to take over the United States and [...] it would happen amid a massive economic collapse that would start with an earthquake in Japan."
Joyner is now telling his followers that they must leave California, unless "the Lord tells them otherwise." In his recent 30-minute warning, a portion of which Right Wing Watch made available on YouTube (see video below), he declared:
"We let a tiny percentage of atheists dictate what the whole country does, and these were evil, wicked people. We are dealing with the ultimate issues of these times [which] is an anti-Christ spirit. Are we just going to let this happen on our watch?
"Now, I have for years had people who've heard of the prophecies of the major quake that would come after the Japanese quake, that would come to our west coast. I've had people all over the west coast ask me many, many times, 'Is it time to move? Should I move? Should I get out?'
"And my counsel until this time has been do not leave unleass you get a clear direction from the Lord. Don't leave out of fear. Don't do anything out of fear. We're called to live by faith, not by fear.
"But now that's changing and I've told 'em it would change. I said, 'When I see and I know that what is coming is inevitable, I said it's going to change from don't leave unless you hear from the Lord to don't stay unless you hear from the Lord.' And that's going to be my message from now on. It is time to get out of that area."
