Brazil, with its huge ethanol from cane industry should be making ethanol from cellulose too [one would think]. They already do that indirectly, by burning leftover sugarcane bagasse to power the ethanol production process. BTW, Brazil is starting to make polyethylene from ethanol. I suspect this will make more economic sense than exporting ethanol for use as fuel.
