"Flat tax" is good not because of what the author says. The current system benefits folks like Trump etc. They know how to get around the tax laws and end up not paying taxes. Instead, if there is a flat tax with fixed deductions such as for home mortgage etc. then we all pay. No dodging. With regards to taxing consumption, should the Govt. really tax food, shelter and water?
