Each society sets up a maze for us rats to run. The ones of us who do best in it don't fight it, but find the way though to the top. So Company's like GE do well. Give them a different maze, they would do just as well. They hire the smart people.

Classic example is the former CEO of AT&T who just retired. He took over a company that the Gov had split up and built it back up by playing the game. He had over 100 reps in Austin TX to take care of the legislature and make sure they wrote the laws he wanted.
