What I told you was a simple fact ... and the subject was the two greatest commandments.

Jesus taught orally... the fact that he used previous writings is obviously besides the point and not contrary to it.

Teachers generally do teach orally or verbally, as did Jesus. In this case, the material being discussed was drawn from previous scripture. That shouldn't be surprising given who Jesus was.

3.) Jesus elevating those "quotes" above the 10 Commandments WAS A NOVEL TEACHING in itself

Yes.

(obviously) and WAS DONE ORALLY!!

It seems a big point to you that Jesus spoke orally. Yes, when he was asked a question (orally), he answered (orally):

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Footnotes:
a.Matthew 22:37 Deut. 6:5
b.Matthew 22:39 Lev. 19:18

you implying that none of Jesus teachings is novel

That false implication would be your imagination at work.
