We need A-Teams on the ground as shooters to protect Air Force controllers who call in air strikes. That is how we won so easily in Afghanistan. CAS is "Close Air Support." The Rebels are much less organized than the Northern Alliance was in Afghanistan, but it's the only hope of defeating Qaddafi.

You can defeat an enemy this way, but you can't hold the area. The Libyans have to take over behind us.

It's a Tribal war, East Libya against West. With an unknown outcome. Best we can hope for is a less hostile Gov, which will still put the women back in the Burqa.
