Thanks for the info. No worries about the long windedness because the way I see it...the more info the better!

I'm ok at shorting stocks...but I guess I have to be really comfortable with that move or have very tight buy to cover stops if it doesn't work out that way.

I think I am primarily a value investor, but I am still developing an investing/trading style. Also, I don't have much capital so options give more bang for every buck you put in! And I like options as you can only lose your premium (when going long on calls and puts that is) so the downside is limited, as opposed to trading in futures or forex.

So far my experience has been in LEAPS, as I like these. If you pick a volatile enough stock such as MU or TIBX, chances are you can turn a tidy profit from it as I figure a lot of folks out there tend to misprice the LEAPS.

Have not had experience yet with writing puts. Tried to do this on a practice account such as WallStreetSurvivor or on the CBOE website, but these don't give the option to write naked puts (is that the proper term to use?). Do you happen to know of any good website that allows such an option (pun intended)?
