Kerm/Newport
Talked briefly with the company today. Third quarter out next Tuesday and production numbers are down. No specifics given but exit '97 rate will not reach target. Cash flow will be off street expectations, but company says not significantly. Reasons given are as before: delays, bad weather, road bans etc. The big plays in Alberta/BC remain intact, they'll just take longer to get done, but in any event, before spring break up '98. My conclusion: any kind of less-than-stellar news is going to hammer any stock at this time. Seems to me NPP caught it when it announced its second quarter results but stock came back. No reason to think it won't come back again over the winter months.
FYI, and as you know, I own NPP. At current level am considering additional purchases.
Kind regards
TM
