The Geo's I've spoken with always refer to "ultramafics" with pt. -- never heard them say mafic or ultramafic, and I was told he later is a fancy term for "black". I believe it's rocks rich in iron, magnesium or other dark minerals. Basically he like Coggins is in denial about hydrothermal pt deposits... even though in part of his previous post where he tried to dazzle us with some science (that sure sounds like someone wrote for him, or he found a book to copy some paragraphs out of)Mr. Chatters himself refered to hydrothermal pt. You can have such without ultramafics.
