In some ways, you are correct, of course. I think most people realize this. The difference, however, is that O'bama is not consistent in anything, but leans far left while displaying a complete disregard for economic sense, like virtually giving away money as a "stimulus", instead of providing tax breaks to small business to spur sustainable employment growth.

And, have we ever had a president who went against the advice of his Joint Chiefs of Staff? Don't most Lefties believe only Generals want wars?

Yep, O'bama was advised not to get involved in Lybia, and now he can't even well explain himself to the Left or the Right. A Conservative president would have done the Conservative thing and listened to advice from those who have to carry the weight of his decision(s). And, why just Lybia, and why just now when there are and have been despots in so many other parts of the world? It ain't just about oil, or we would be doing the same thing elsewhere in the Middle East.
