....The dimes, quarters, dollars, and halves ( pre 1964) contain silver, commonly referred to as 90% silver coins....A silver dollar contains about 3/4 th of an ounce of silver...4 quarters, 2 halves, 10 dimes contain about 3/4 of an ounce of silver too, basically a dollar face value is .715 an ounce of silver.....Some kennedy halves minted after 1964 contain 40% silver......Nickles do not contain silver.....In the biz, a bag is 100 rolls , about 715 ounces of silver, about the size of a bowling ball.
