That is odd but you are probably confused and searching in the wrong area for categories of cause. Guns, knives, overdose, jumping off a cliff, death wish behavior (like suicide by cop), etc are methods not causes. Methods are not causes. The causes are precipitory and include loss of hope, feelings of helplessness, lack of courage, disappointment and loss, isolation, dejection, despair, all of which bring on the condition we know as despondency. Despondent people commit suicide.
