We all die so the end of the world as we know it is coming in some form or fashion.

The issue is how to be ready for it because, regardless of the way in which we think teotwawki will arrive, it will arrive in a very personal way. I guess this we can call this the end of the world as I know it.

Since you don't believe in teotwawki, how are you getting ready for the end of your world?

I am getting ready for it in the same way Jay is getting ready for teotwawki, by providing for the future in the best way I know how.

Treasuries won't do it.

They are going to fall. Anyone can see that.

But taxes are not. Anyone can see that, too.

Are you going to be able to pay off your mortgage when Treasuries and taxes suck?

Actually you might do very well, there will be lots of bankruptcies when it hits the fan....but you'll have to work.

I don't think I could stomach practicing law in my '60s and '70s, especially if it involves a steady diet of misery.

Fortunately, I am easily satisfied. I like the high life but could easily do something like this, esp. in deepest West Texas [I'd shave, occassionally]:
