There is nothing wrong to add a second source for Apple Ixxxx products' camera sensors supplier. Apple was not / may be now the largest suppliers for OVTI's business. Many other manufacturers are using OVTI exclusively like HTC, MOT, LG, others.... They used OVTI's high end products. Apple instead used OVTI's low end products mostly. IPone 3 and prior were using 3MP. Sony must not be in a good relationship with Apple rep. somehow. Usually Apple's suppliers do not publicly make any claim about anything. May be it is an Apple contract thing. I doubt SONY CEO is making a claim like that. It should be interpreted more like "we do not need Apple's deal. We need the best camera ourself...) Not bad for my wife's 401 K account to add another $3000 for today. We will see what happen tomorrow. :-)
