With one of TI's plants not being able to ship product, it might be less expensive to buy capacity rather than lose customers to a competitor.

TI's wafer plant in Miho, Japan will resume full production by mid-July and begin chip shipments by September. Meanwhile, its facility in Aizu is scheduled to restart full production no later than mid-April.
