Richard, >I haven't seen anything for me to call a bear market. You are correct, this is not a bear market yet. What has happened is the DOW has broken its 150 day moving average with a double shoulder formation and a lot of stocks have head and shoulder formations. It could be a short correction in a bull market. There is a fair amount of uncertainty on what affect these emerging economies will have on mature economies and IMO buying some insurance is prudent.
