No one should write covered calls. You'ld be taking equity risk for a piddly upside premium. Further, I would recommend that individual investors avoid all options except in very special unique circumstances. It's a losing game with worse odds than the lottery. Warren Buffett believes that options should be made illegal and I agree with him. Once again I would also warn against giving your share count to ANYONE.
