TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Health Care REIT Inc. on Monday raised its forecast for full-year funds from operations to reflect a slate of asset acquisitions and stock and note offerings.

Toledo, Ohio-based Health Care REIT said it expects 2011 funds from operations, or FFO, will range from $3.32 a share to $3.42 a share. That represents an increase of 7 cents a share from the prior guidance range of $3.25 a share to $3.35 a share.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet anticipate full-year FFO of $3.39 a share.

FFO, which adds such items as amortization and depreciation to net income, is considered a key measure of a real estate investment trust's performance.

Health Care REIT also announced it has completed the acquisition of a portfolio of real estate assets from Genesis HealthCare for $2.4 billion.

Genesis operates rehabilitation and nursing facilities. Included in the deal are 147 post-acute care, rehabilitation, assisted living and long-term care services in 11 states across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Health Care REIT has said it expects $198 million in rent in the first year after closing.

The company is scheduled to report first-quarter financial results on May 3.

Shares in Health Care REIT ended the regular session up 11 cents to $52.41.
