HMS Awarded Third Party Liability Contract by the Commonwealth of Virginia finance.yahoo.com Tuesday April 5, 2011 NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- HMS, a wholly owned subsidiary of HMS Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:HMSY), announced today that is has been awarded a contract by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) to provide third party liability services, including cost avoidance, commercial insurance recovery, Medicare disallowance, and credit balance reviews. The contract extends through December 31, 2012, with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods.
